A syndicate leader is assassinated by orders of the corrupt governor Vidal. Octavio, companion of the assassinated leader, searches for documents that will threaten the murderer. Chased after by Vidal's henchmen, Octavio meets Julieta, an old companion from university whom he once loved. Julieta accompanies him in the search for the documents, while struggling between the love that she feels for him and the promise she made to her family.

With the retrospective, which includes internationally renowned film classics, Cinemaztlán offers audiences the possibility to indulge in the rich film-history of Mexico.
