In times of the revolution, the Zapatista armies of general José Juan Reyes occupy the quiet and conservative town of Cholula. While he confiscates the goods of the wealthy in town, general Reyes falls in love with the beautiful, wealthy and untameable Beatriz Peñafiel, daughter of the most distinguished man of the town. The contempt that Beatriz initially feels towards the revolutionary make place for curiosity and, finally, a profound and authentic love.
